From nature, human being is destined to feel lonely, to feel a certain void inside. Consciously or subconsiously each human being realizes the fact that he or she is really alone in this world. Fromms defeinition of love goes back to the roots, to the core of the human nature.

We are dominated and enslaved by our culture. This feeling of loneliness and longing for unification with outher human beings predetermines the core of our human nature, defines our unlimited desire for being loved and loving others.

If one has no dedication, patience and passion towards his profession, towards his practice, one will not become a master. Constant pains, tiredness criples us and distracts us from experiencing life for what it really is. Thus, according to Fromm, in order to become master of a certain field, one needs to learn the theory, than apply the theory in pratice and third of all, throughtout the whole process of learning and practicing, be passionate towards the profession.

The point is to calm down all thoughts and worries that one has collected in ones head thorughtout the day. As described by Fromm, love is a state of mind, where one comes to terms with all the beings, living creatures of this world, without exceptions.
